Aberdeen [Nov. 10th, 2004|09:11 pm]
Nick
It seems that, owing to very early EasyJet flights, I'll have about 6 hours to kill in Aberdeen Saturday week.

Anyone know what's worth seeing there?

(Failing that, I'll just find somewhere to go kip. Not impressed with having to get up at about 4am to get the flight....)

Aberdeen is known as the "Granite City." Walking down Union Street on a misty, murky morning, you'll soon see why.

The most interesting part of Aberdeen is the old quarter, where the university is. Aberdeen Uni is older than any English university except Oxbridge so it's got some nice, old buildings. Kings College Chapel in particular is well worth a visit.

That's probably about it, really tbh...
